The team was given a target volume and left to develop the form. We knew the tumbler needed to be comfortable in the hand and fit easily in a cupholder; a tapered design made both possible. This is Hydroflask’s first splash-proof lid. It features a pill-shape recess for opening/closing while considering nose clearance. The material properties of the co-molded slider allowed for easy removal and cleaning. The finished product stands out on the shelf in a saturated market as both aesthetic and functional.
