The Roam Mini is a concept built around the idea of portability. Its small form factor ensures it is ready for wherever your adventure takes you. It features a magnetic backing for versatile placement in various environments, making it easier to enjoy high-quality sound in places where it may have been difficult or impractical before. Whether it's in the kitchen, bathroom, car, boat, or outdoors, the Roam Mini is the perfect audio companion for any occasion.

This project started by identifying a potential new market for Sonos. Although the Roam speaker is a great entry to the portable speaker market with its $180 price tag and ten hours of battery life, through a brief market analysis, I identified a need for an even smaller speaker—something with a $60-$100 price tag and five hours of battery life. The Roam Mini is designed to fill this niche while bringing something new to the Sonos product line. It follows the form language of the One Smart Speaker with softened edges that encourage mobility.
